Fitch Fuel Catalyst Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a permanent fuel treatment and an additive?
An additive is usually a chemical added to fuel. Additives must be replenished at each refueling. A permanent fuel treatment affects the fuel but does not become part of it and does not need to be replaced.
What is the Fitch Fuel Catalyst?
A metal alloy composed by a proprietary process that permanently transforms hydrocarbon fuels to a superior quality fuel than what is purchased from a gas station.
How does Fitch work?
Gasoline and diesel is at its most optimal when it is first refined but unfortunately during storage and transportation, the fuel quality drastically diminishes. Fuel is attacked by oxygen, ozone, and microorganisms (bacteria, yeast, and mold) that grow in the fuel creating a less than optimal fuel. A less than optimal fuel will produce less engine efficiency, less performance, more emissions, soot build up, and deposits in engine oil and injectors. By installing a Fitch System, the fuel is treated with the catalyst on board the vehicle, re-refining the fuel to its most optimal state allowing the engine to produce maximum performance, efficiency and lowering emissions and maintenance
Can the Fitch Fuel Catalyst Harm My Engine?
NO. Fitch simply pre-treats fuel before the combustion process. Fitch does not interfere with the mechanical or electrical components of a vehicle.
What type of engines will benefit from the use of the Fitch Fuel Catalyst?
- All internal combustion engines
- Outdoor Power Equipment
- Recreational vehicles
- Automotive & light duty trucks/SUVs
- Marine
- Commercial Equipment & Oil Burners
How is this Permanent Fuel Treatment introduced to the fuel supply?
Outdoor power equipment and recreational vehicles use the Fitch "drop in" tank application. Simply unscrew the gas cap and drop it in. For automobiles, Fitch offers a Quick Connect "Bolt on" system that is easily installed by connecting our male/female OEM fittings to the OEM quick connect fittings on your vehicle, the Universal Kit which is plumbed directly into the fuel supply line and the "Drop in Tank" application which is installed by accessing the fuel tank directly.
Will the use of the Fitch Fuel Catalyst void a manufacturer’s warranty?
Absolutely not! The federal law regulates warranties for the protection of consumers. The essence of this law concerning aftermarket parts is that an engine manufacturer may not deny a warranty based alone on the use of an aftermarket part.
How long does the Fitch Fuel Catalyst last?
250,000 operating miles or 5,000 operating hours depending on the engine
Why don’t the OEMs like GM, Chrysler, Ford, Cat., Yamaha, Suzuki, Detroit, etc. implement the Fitch Fuel Catalyst on cars or machines right from the assembly line?
The OEMs don’t typically add parts to the assembly line unless it saves them money or are required to add because of specific regulations. OEMS must meet certain standards set forth by the EPA and other regulatory organizations. When determining MPG window sticker numbers, the EPA requires the automotive OEMs to test on certified fuel such as Indolene. These purest certified fuels are too expensive to mass produce and are NOT equivalent to what consumers purchase at the pump.
